Fun Food Adventures / Nathan Godsey Press Room & Media Kit
Press Release
9 yr. Old Boy Cooks Up Global TV show
"Sweet Success for Young TV Host"
Nine-year-old Nathan Godsey hosts the new show
Fun Food Adventures broadcasting internationally on TBN. The show
is a cooking and travel program with lots of adrenaline pumping activities
added in. It is not unusual to see Nathan snowboarding, rock climbing,
or taking a hot-air balloon ride on a show that is more than how to cook or
where to eat. This young adventurer travels the US and overseas while
mixing in activities that would make anyone want to go along. There is no
other program like it. Fun Food Adventures reaches out to people of all
ages with it's family centric activities, recipes, and themes as opposed to
most cooking shows that only target older audiences.
Nathan, at age 7, won a national cooking contest
on The Food Network and got to cook with Chef Emeril Lagasse. Nathan says,
"I always loved to watch the cooking shows, and my little brother and I
would pretend to host our own show in our kitchen". His dream has now
become reality. Nathan often meets with gourmet chefs to help them cook up
something delicious. "Then I get to eat it, which is the best part". Other
times Nathan prepares a kid-friendly recipe by himself that his viewers can
try at home. When asked what his favorite dish to fix is, he replied, "I
like making my own maki roll sushi at home. It is also fun to host sushi
rolling parties where we teach friends how to do it, too." Nathan's parents
who home schooled him and his siblings since age four commented, "Nathan has
always been a go-getter. It was his idea to enter the contest, to start his
own show and have his own website. We just try to keep up with him."
Nathan's show has filmed at ski
resorts, professional cooking schools, restaurants that rank in America's
Top 25, and ethnic events like Japan Fest and Scottish Highland Games. "We
come up with show ideas that we know will be fun to shoot. It is as much
fun making the show as it is to watch it."
When asked why TBN picked up the show, Brenda
Rossman, a director of programming stated, "I am very excited that Fun
Food Adventures will be debuting on both Trinity Broadcasting Network
and our 24 hour Smile of a Child children's network. This series really
appealed to me because of Nathan's cute charm and amazing talent as a host.
His inviting personality, maturity, and ability on camera are very rare for
someone his age. Not only is he comfortable in front of the camera, he
truly connects with people. As a program director for TBN, finding a show
of this depth and variety is like finding hidden treasure -- learning about
other cultures and foods with a carefree, fun approach is what kids want to
see and what parents want them to learn about."
Fun Food Adventures will air both in the
US and internationally Saturday mornings (9 PST / 12 noon EST) on TBN
starting Oct. 7th and six days a week on Smile of a Child. In South
Carolina, it will air on Thursdays at 3:30 pm. For more information about
