    Sushi Party

Filed under: Events - Nathan @ 9:07 pm

    Hello Everybody,

I mentioned a few days ago about the Sushi party we had at my house.  This is not the first time we have done this.  Our whole family really likes sushi. At a Sushi party, we have several “stations” set up with all the tools you need to make sushi. Then there are different ingredients at each station.  My Dad and I show everyone how to make a sushi roll by demonstrating the process. Then each person can try to make one themselves.  By the way sushi is NOT raw fish. Sushi actually means “sweet and sour seasoned rice”. It is the rice, not the other ingredients that make sushi what it is.  A lot of my friends were at the party, but only my friend Wyc ate the sushi.  All my other friends just ate the ingredients.   My favorite kind of sushi is smoked salmon with cream cheese, cucumber and avocado. Tasty!! Do you like trying new foods? What is a unusual food that you might eat with your family? My Dad new someone who liked to dip tangerines in Tabasco sauce. My Mom tried it and said she did not care for it.  I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s comments.

    Be adventurous,

    Nathan Godsey

Hi Nathan. I don’t know if this is unusual or not. My brother and I like to eat frozen vegtables(broccoli and other mixed vegtables) right out of the bag. We also like to dip apples, carrots, and sometimes mini-wheats in peanut butter. My favorite restaurant is a Chinese restaurant. None of my other friends like Chinese. I also love Salad bars.

    2. Hey Nathan,

My dad likes to make grilled peanut butter, cheese, and pickle sandwiches! He says it’s good, but my mom won’t touch it. I like to dip apples in peanut butter, or yogurt, or caramel. Yum!

      Hi all,
I notice some of you like to eat apple dipped in peanut butter. In my country, we have a food called Rujak.
There’re several types of Rujak, one of them is fruit rujak.
Fruit rujak is when you slice some fruit such as apple, starfruit, papaya, and many more, include cucumber, put them all into a plate, eat them by dip every slice with peanut sauce and eat it. The best taste comes when you put all the sliced fruits into refrigerator first.
Peanut sauce, in this case, is made from ground peanut, java sugar, salt, and chilli.
By the way, I’m from Indonesia.

Wow, Nathan. This is wonderful. I appreciate you for having the passion for it and for encouraging kids to try new things and have an adventurous palate.
