English Toffee

Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 batch
Servings: 10

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups broke nuts
1 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons cold water
1 tablespoon white karo syrup
2 sticks margarine
 

Prep
put nuts on a foil covered cookie sheet, spread in shape of a platter
IN a sauce pan, mix: sugar, water, karo syrup, and margarine
Copok until mixture turns brown.
Pour over nuts
Immediately pour package of chocolate cihps over candy.
When melted, spread chocolate with a knife.
Leave several hours or overnight then break into pieces.
