Fudge Pecan Pie

This pie is a great Thanksgiving dessert
Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: about 1 hour

Yield: 1 pie
Servings: 8
|

 |
4 eggs
1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups pecans, halved
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

In bowl, beat eggs slightly
Blend in sugar, cocoa, flour, and salt
Stir in corn syrup, butter, and vanilla
Pour into prepared pastry shell
Sprinkle pecans over surface of pie
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until center is almost set but still soft (filling will set as it cools)
Cool on wire rack
If desired, serve wit sweetened whipped cream
