Mom's lasagne

A great twist on a classic Italian meal

1 pound sweet Italian sausage
1 pound ground sirloin
1 1/2 pounds ricotta cheese
1 1/2 pounds mozzarella cheese, grated
1 pound lasagne noodles, cooked
1 1/2 quarts favorite spaghetti sauce
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Parsley to taste

Cook Italian sausage
Brown ground meat in large pot and strain off excess grease
To that, add spaghetti sauce (or 1 large can tomato sauce and 2-12 ounce cans tomato paste with 2 1/2 cans of water)
Add parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, parsley, and garlic powder
Add cut up sausage to the sauce
Cook for one hour
Cook noodles
Make ricotta mixture by mixing ricotta cheese, two raw eggs, mozzarella cheese, parsley, sale, and pepper
To put the lasagne together, layer:
First some sauce on the bottom of pan
A layer of lasagne noodles
Layer of Cheese mixture
Sauce
The rest of the noodles
The rest of the cheese mixture
The rest of the sauce
